BRIEF: For the six months ended 31 March 2013, ThyssenKrupp AG revenues decreased 9% to EUR17.94B. Net income before extraordinary items totaled EUR157M vs. loss of EUR64M. Revenues reflect Stainless Global segment decrease of 56% to EUR1.27B, Components Technology segment decrease of 26% to EUR2.7B. Net Income reflects Finance Expenses(1) decrease of 15% to EUR509M (expense), Other income increase of 32% to EUR107M (income).



ThyssenKrupp AG is a Germany-based technology holding company operating in seven business areas. The Steel Europe division produces carbon steel flat products. The Steel Americas division is engaged in production, processing and marketing of high-grade carbon steels. The Materials Services division is engaged in global distribution of materials and the provision of complex technical services for the production and manufacturing sectors.
