SK hynix drops bid for Japan's Elpida, shares jump

SEOUL (Reuters) - SK hynix (000660.KS) dropped its bid for bankrupt Japanese semiconductor maker Elpida Memory Inc, sending shares of the South Korean chipmaker to a two-week high.
