May 25 - Madame Tussaud's restyles Oprah for her last show. Cindy Martin reports.
Like one of her shows, Oprah is getting a makeover -- that is, her wax figure in Las Vegas. It's to celebrate the end of the "Oprah" show's last ever episode on May 25, ending a quarter century of the talk show queen's reign. Complete with a platform, seats for the interviewees and microphone - fans at Madame Tussauds say the likeness is striking. SOUNDBITE: Molly Latham, Vice President Of Program Services With Big Brothers And Big Sisters Of Southern Nevada, saying (English): "It's gorgeous. It is so current in the way she looks. Really, when I stood next to her I expected her to start interviewing me. It's so life like, it really looks great." SOUNDBITE: Oprah Fan, saying (English): "I love her figure. I wish she was always at that figure, you know, because she's had her ups and downs. She looks very glamorous." The newly restyled wax Oprah figure stands in the "Spirit of America" room where the media giant joins other iconic American figures such as John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, and Marilyn Monroe.
