A Turkish refugee camp for Syrians fleeing the violence at home. Turkey is bracing itself for another influx of refugees after Syrian troops launched an operation on Sunday to take control of the northwestern town of Jisr al-Shughour. Most of that town's residents have now fled to Turkey, just 20 kilometres away. More than 5000 Syrian refugees have already crossed into Turkey and the Turkish Red Crescent is preparing a fourth camp with room for 2,500 more. Meanwhile refugees at this camp set up new tents for their fleeing friends and families. A water well is also being constructed. Witnesses said some 10,000 Syrians were sheltering near the border as President Bashar Al-Assad continues his crackdown against dissidents challenging his 11-year rule. Sunita Rappai, Reuters
