July 19 - Fighting between rebels and forces loyal to Muammar Gaddafi continues in Misrata, as rebels say Gaddafi troops use civilians as shields. Deborah Lutterbeck reports.
Libyan rebels prepare to head into battle on the outskirts of Misrata. As rebel forces try to push into the oil town of Brega, in Misrata they are just trying to hold ground. Rebel field commander Mohammed Abal Salam: SOUNDBITE: Rebel field commander Mohammed Abal Salam, saying (Arabic): "We can't move forward, because they use people as human shields; women, children and elderly, they are used as human shields. Every time we advance we find old men and women on the front-line." The fighting comes with a price - as wounded arrive at a field hospital. Misrata is reportedly under heavy bombardment from both rebel and government forces. Women from Misrata are making their own contributions to the fight - delivering care packages to rebels on the front lines.
