Ex-Beatles band member Sir Paul McCartney wed U.S. businesswoman Nancy Shevell on Sunday (October 9) in a low-key affair. The couple were showered with flower petals as fans waved and cheered on the newlyweds as they descended the steps of the Westminster Registry Office, in northwest London. Other high-profile guests attending the ceremony included former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr and his wife and the model and actress Barbara Bach. It is the third marriage for McCartney. Action movie "Real Steel," a futuristic story about father-and-son bonding through robot boxing, won the domestic weekend box office/ "Real Steel", starring Hugh Jackman, brought in an estimated 27.3 million dollars (USD) in ticket sales at U.S. and Canadian theaters. The Australian actor plays an aging boxer is a film that is part sports drama, part sci-fi in which robots have replaced human beings in the ring. George Clooney's new political thriller, "Ides of March," landed in second place with 10.4 million. In the movie Clooney plays a presidential candidate in the middle of a tough primary contest in Ohio. Tensions rise as a political scandal involving members of his campaign team threaten to ruin his chances of becoming President. Third place went to the family film.
