Oct. 20 - After Libyan fighters liberate Sirte, celebrations erupt as news of Gaddafi's capture and possible death spread. Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
Libyan government fighters celebrate as news breaks that their victory is complete. After these National Transitional Council forces liberated Sirte on Thursday after weeks of fighting, reports surfaced that former leader Muammar Gaddafi had been captured - or even killed. An NTC official told Reuters that Gaddafi had died of his wounds after the battle, but there has yet to be any independent confirmation. Sirte was one of the last bastions of forces loyal to the former President who ruled for over 40 years.
