France's First Lady Carla Bruni gives birth to a baby girl. French media reported the baby was born around 8 pm local time at a hospital in Paris. Earlier in the day - President Nicolas Sarkozy had visited his wife - a singer and former model - before traveling to Germany to meet with Chancellor Angela Merkel and European Union officials. Late Wednesday, he was on his way back to France after talks to try to find a plan to stem the euro zone debt crisis. Sarkozy has three children from his two previous marriages and the Italian born Bruni has a son from a former relationship.
