Thousands of Syrians turn out, Sunday, for a rally in support of President Bashar al-Assad. They pack the streets of a town south of Damascus, waving flags and chanting slogans in support of the embattled leader. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) UNIDENTIFIED MALE SYRIAN PROTESTER, SAYING: "We are and always will be with our leader Dr. Bashar al-Assad, always." Assad faces increasing international pressure to end a violent crackdown against anti-government protesters that has left 3,000 people dead. Seen here in file video, he has just warned that Western powers risk causing an "earthquake" across the Middle East if they intervene in the country. On Sunday, officials from the Arab League are expected to open talks with Syria on ending the violence. Andrew Raven, Reuters
