Mar. 16 - Dell's President & COO, Steve Felice, says he's not concerned by the success of Apple's new iPad, because the two companies are chasing different clients. However Dell will introduce its own tablet.
There are some great needs out there that have been on that especially in the commercial side of the of the marketplace we're very encouraged by. The touch capability. That we're seeing in the beta versions of windows eight. -- DC delta coming in like a coveted brands. Like apple people you know king ran the -- to the idea to buy a product we are asked a different. Markets. We have some overlap. But again we are predominantly. A company that has a great. -- on the commercial customer. Who also wants to be a consumer. You know so we come we come at the market from a different way. In the areas. That we come but the market we think we are coveted brands. Now we're just appealing to a different set of customers and a different venue. We haven't been focused on let's say you know people that can only afford a more expensive product. We have plenty of that business but we also appeal to the broad masses and so you know we take a different approach. And we sell a lot of computers. Over the over the the year and so you know and I and I think now with. Products like this. You know I've I think this stands up very very well even to even to Apple's product. And I think customers you know from that from the testing we're doing around the world. Which you can find on YouTube now customers saying the same thing so you know I really like where we're headed on a from a design. Standpoint. Would you CNN's prosecution had -- time -- -- to -- -- this that he is too high and. Well a lot of the executives within the company's. That that really -- traveling a lot and -- lighter form factor but yet still need the power that's the big difference you know when companies. But there. Computers. To the side and take a tablet with them to go travel you see a lot of compromises being made. You just have to watch people tight. You know and I and we got a lot of comments over the last few weeks from customers that say you know if I have this available. To travel with. I probably wouldn't take that I would take the tablet we're not even going out saying everyone should have these. -- that's what Dell's been great that is having a variety to fit the needs of of the customer.
