During the Thomson Reuters panel Politics Inc., Senator John McCain attacks the Supreme Court decision that corporations are people. (March 27, 2012)
What the Supreme Court did. Is. A combination of arrogance and I am today and stupidity election which I have never seen. Russ Feingold and I went over to watch the arguments before the United States Supreme Court. I couldn't believe how little. These justices understood about the realities of political campaigns. Including the believe somehow that corporations. Are people. But. What it reminded me if I could just mention was a story a long time ago when and Lyndon Johnson was vice president at the beginning of the stations. And reporters came from two point what do you think it's. Rask. Right especially price America. That president Kennedy is appointed to his cabinet. And Lyndon Johnson said I just wish one of whom had run for and share. That I just wish that one of these nine justices. -- 15. And run for -- -- share because they would understand. The influence of money in politics. It's did. Questions that and answers after which by the way when -- I'll look at -- should question what would we're done. It's pretty obvious -- sarcasm -- people like Scalia and that that absolute and the tea. People and I've voted Ford covers us for an accord. Like Roberts and Alito and others that they had no idea of -- like a political campaigns Supreme Court judges OpenId. And there they were incredibly nine cents when News Corp. a person as someone here and I got to give -- to take it I promise you this. I promise you there will be huge scandals because there's too much money washing around. Too much of it is on note we don't know who. Contributed and there's too much corruption associated with that kind of money there will be major -- John McCain never gives up -- ain't gonna give up on this -- But I have got to wait until we think that we can pass. Legislation. And I I'm not sure right now frankly that we could get it past him I needed Democrats were both against him I think. I think that there is probably a majority Republicans right now that would vote against it because Republicans are profiting. By it and there will be a lot of Democrats don't want tech. But we will go out there again we will fight again and we'll continue the fight because it's not fair to the American people.
