(ROUGH CUT ONLY - NO REPORTER NARRATION) Outgoing French President Nicolas Sarkozy stood side-by-side with his successor, Socialist Francois Hollande for the first time on Tuesday (May 8) since admitting defeat in the country's elections on Sunday (May 6). Sarkozy and Hollande gathered at Paris' landmark Arc de Triomphe to take part in a ceremony for Victory Day, a national holiday which commemorates the end of World War II in 1945. The picture of the two men standing together was one much anticipated by the French media since Hollande beat Sarkozy to the country's top job, therefore becoming the first Socialist French president in 17 years.
