(ROUGH CUT ONLY - NO REPORTER NARRATION) Dozens of people were killed or wounded in two "terrorist explosions" which struck a southern district of the Syrian capital Damascus on Thursday (May 10), state television said. An activist group called Union of Syrian Youth provided amateur video showing a general view of Damascus city and two heavy plumes of smoke rising. Damascus residents said the blasts, which happened almost simultaneously shortly before 8 a.m. (0500 GMT), struck a district of Damascus which houses a military intelligence complex involved in President Bashar al-Assad's crackdown on 14 months of protests. Reuters is unable to independently verify the content of this amateur video.
