Aug 29 - Hurricane Isaac slammed into Louisiana this morning, causing some damage but missed oil platforms off the coast; U.S. GDP may have grown at a faster pace in Q2, according to a poll of economists.

Economists polled by Reuters predict one point 7% annualized pace of growth compared with the one point 5% rate in the first estimate.
