Myanmar opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi spoke to students at Columbia University in New York City on Saturday (September 22) where she both sought and offered advice from students about how to build a better democracy. Suu Kyi called on students to continue the exchange of dialogue with a visit to Myanmar. (SOUNDBITE) (English) AUNG SAN SUU KYI, MYANMAR OPPOSITION LEADER, SAYING: "What I would really like you to do is to come and visit Burma and find out for yourself what our schools are like, what our universities are like and then I think you might get a better idea of how you might be able to help us. And I would like you to Suu Kyi is on a cross-country tour of the United States. Earlier in the day, she spoke at Queens College in New York. Last week, Suu Kyi met with U.S. President Barack Obama and was presented with the Congressional Gold Medal.
