Nov. 6 - Mitt Romney casts his ballot before leaving for two campaign stops --- an unusual election-day move for a presidential candidate but one he hopes will make the difference in key states. Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
ROUGH CUT (No Reporter Narration) Republican Mitt Romney voted in his home state of Massachusetts on Tuesday (Nov. 6) before a final trip to Ohio and Pennsylvania, a Democratic-leaning state that he has tried to put in play in recent weeks. The latest Reuters/Ipsos national poll of likely voters, a daily tracking poll, gave Obama a slight edge, with 48 percent support compared to Romney's 46 percent. The difference was within the 3.4 percentage point credibility interval, which allows for statistical variation in Internet-based polls. If he wins, Romney, a multimillionaire former head of a private equity fund, would be the first Mormon president and one of the wealthiest Americans to occupy the White House.
