Dec. 07 - Goldman's Blankfein pays $32.5 million for a seven-bedroom mansion in Hamptons. Carmen Roberts reports.
The Daily Digit today is $32.5 million. That's how much Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein paid for this massive seven-bedroom estate in the exclusive New York Hamptons. The CEO of one of the world's largest investment banks laid out mega bucks for the 8,000 square foot Bridgehampton home, even though his $14 million home also in the Hamptons has been for sale for five years. The real estate firm, Trulia, says the estate in the famously rich seaside area also includes a large living room, dining room, tennis court, pool and sculpted gardens. Blankfein may be swimming in money, earning $16.2 million in 2011 alone. But for all the millions he laid out for this estate - it's not on the water - so he'll still have to walk to the ocean.
