Jan. 23 - The latest celebrity news including Adele returns to the stage to perform at the Oscars and New Kids On The Block, Boyz II Men and 98 Degrees to tour together. Roselle Chen reports.
British singer Adele will return to the stage next month after a year absence to perform her Oscar-nominated song "Skyfall" at the Academy Awards. The February 24 show will be Adele's first live performance since the Grammy Awards last April and the first time she will perform "Skyfall" live, as she has kept a low profile since giving birth to a son last October. She was in Hollywood recently to pick up the Golden Globe for the best original song prize for "Skyfall." Three of the 90's most popular male groups are joining forces for "The Package Tour." R&B crooners Boyz II Men and pop group 98 Degrees will open for the five member boy band New Kids On The Block as they headline a 28-city U.S. tour. "The Package Tour" will kick off in May. Shakira gave birth to her first child, a boy, on January 22 in Barcelona. The singer and her boyfriend, Spanish soccer player Gerard Pique, named the six-pound, six-ounce (three kilograms) boy Milan. Two jailed Pussy Riot members gave their first video interviews from prison to a Russian newspaper, defending their anti-Putin actions. Serving out two-year sentences, the bandmates said their protest was directed at the Russian president and not meant to hurt anybody's religious feelings. All three group members were convicted for a February 2012 protest in which they burst into a cathedral and belted out a profanity-laced song urging the Virgin Mary to rid Russia of Putin.
