ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Newlyweds Swedish Princess Madeleine and her husband Chris O'Neill greeted people outside the palace shortly after their wedding on Saturday. Princess Madeleine, fourth in line to the throne of Sweden, married her United States (U.S.)-British banker fiance at a wedding attended by European royals and socialites from across the Atlantic. The New York-based princess, who became engaged in October last year, married before some 600 guests at the Royal Chapel in the Royal Palace. Scores of people gathered outside the palace in the sunshine hoping to catch a glimpse of the couple. The 30-year-old princess made headlines when younger for partying in Stockholm, then winning some sympathy among Swedes after her engagement with a long term boyfriend ended in 2010 after reports he was found cheating on her. O'Neill, 38, born and raised in Britain but who also has U.S. citizenship, will not take the title of prince so as he can continue his career in New York, where Princess Madeleine works at a children's charity foundation founded by her mother.
