Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, who won his election by a wide margin over conservatives, take the oath.
In an address he vowed to improve women's rights -- saying it is a priority for his government.
He also called for mutual respect when it comes to the international community.

"If you want the right response, don't speak with Iran in the language of sanctions, speak in the language of respect."
The United States said Sunday it is prepared to work with the new government if Iran will engage seriously on the nuclear issue.
