Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu while visiting children on the first day of school also had words on Syria. As Western powers consider responses to allegations that Syria used chemical weapons on its own people, he said Israel is not involved in Syria's civil war, but would respond forcefully if attacked. (SOUNDBITE) (Hebrew) ISRAEL PRIME MINISTER, BENJAMIN NETANYAHU, SAYING: "The state of Israel is prepared for any scenario. We are not a party to this civil war in Syria but if we identify any attempt to attack us we will respond and we will respond forcefully." Many in Israel worry that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad could strike out at the Jewish state in retaliation to any Western attack.
