--STORY CONTAINS GRAPHIC IMAGES -- Children come under fire in a Damascus suburb. The video which cannot independently verified by Reuters shows the anguish and chaos in trying to treat the youngest victims of the conflict in Syria. The Syrian capital has seen months of fierce clashes as President Bashar al-Assad's forces seek to dislodge rebels entrenched in several districts. While government forces have been pushing back rebel advances in recent months, neither side has managed to completely win control of Damascus and its suburbs. Insurgents have been dug in around a crescent surrounding the capital for about a year and a half. But Assad's forces have halted or reversed their advances in several strategic districts that are now effectively blockaded. More than 100,000 people have been killed in the conflict in Syria since March 2011 -- in a war where casualties come in all ages.
