ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Newark Mayor Cory Booker is heading to Washington. The charismatic Democrat won the state's vacant U.S. Senate seat in a special election. He replaces the late Senator Frank Lautenberg. Booker defeated conservative Republican Steve Lonegan, a former small town mayor. Speaking to supporters in Newark on Wednesday, Booker said, "I'm going down to make the Senate more accessible to all of us." Booker is the first black U.S. Senator from New Jersey.
