It was hammer time for the stars at the world premiere of Thor: The Dark World in London. Rollo Ross reports.
Superhero thunder god Thor is back for the second movie in the franchise. In "Thor: The Dark World" he's teaming up with his trickster brother Loki to fight the greater evil of the Dark Elves. To launch the film, Thor's hammer came crashing down in London for one of the biggest launches held there. Taking up nearly half of Leicester Square, it should have been nerve-wrecking for the stars - but not for Hemsworth who found it all quite comforting. (SOUNDBITE) Actor Chris Hemsworth (English), saying: "Oh look, it's the third time around playing the character, there's certainly a slight sense of ownership with it but you always have the same anxiety and coming here and seeing this kind of crowd, it puts that to sleep a bit and then you feel a little more confident that you've done the right thing. I just feel lucky to be part of this, this Marvel madness, it's amazing." Hemsworth's co-star Tom Hiddleston has made a name for himself on the internet recently, going viral with his impressions of celebrities as his character Loki. (SOUNDBITE) Actor Tom Hiddleston (English), saying: "I've always done impressions actually ever since I was a kid, long before I was an actor. It's just what I do, it's like a silly game that I play. Maybe I'm just a shameless exhibitionist, I don't know. This is Chris as Thor playing Loki. "I am Loki of Asgard and I am burdened with glorious purpose!" I can't do it. That's rubbish. I'm terrible. I'm much better at doing an impersonation of Chris." "Thor: The Dark World" goes on release in Europe from October 30th.
