Oct. 26 - Europe's most active volcano, Italy's Mount Etna, erupts, sending lava and ash into the sky. Nathan Frandino reports.
Thunderous roars echo in northeast Sicily as Mount Etna erupts. Europe's tallest and most active volcano sent its red hot lava flying into the sky. Ash plumes drifted even higher. A series of small earthquakes began rattling Friday, pushing Etna over the edge. By sunrise, Etna continued spewing its lava -- the 14th time this year. The ash plumes forced disruptions and delays at the nearby airport in Catania. There are no reports of damage or evacuations in the area.
