Oct 30 - The day's top showbiz news and headlines including Chris Brown enters rehab, Katy Perry's ''Prism'' tops the charts, and Bruce Springsteen is headed to South Africa. Bob Mezan reports.
EB Chris Brown has entered rehab for anger management issues. The singer's rep said that Brown wanted to "gain focus and insight into his past and recent behavior." The decision comes just after he was arrested and charged with assault over the weekend after he reportedly got into an altercation with another man. Brown is still on probation and has been since 2009, when he assaulted then girlfriend Rihanna. Katy Perry has another hit album on her hands. The singer's latest collection "Prism" debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 286,000 copies. That's the largest sales week this year for an album by a woman and the second-largest for a pop effort. Perry's last album, 2010's "Teenage Dream," was a massive success, garnering her 5 number one singles. Finally, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will play their first ever concerts in South Africa. The group has announced that they will perform in Cape Town on January 28 and 29 and Johannesburg on February 01. The shows will be part of Springsteen's "Wrecking Ball" tour which has seen the veteran rocker trek across the U.S., Europe and Latin America over the past 18 months.
