Nov. 4 - WikiLeaks releases video of the fugitive former NSA contractor meeting with Hans-Christian Stroebele in Moscow. Linda So reports.
Newly released video shows Edward Snowden meeting with German lawmaker Hans-Christian Stroebele. WikiLeaks posted the video to their website on Monday. It shows the fugitive intelligence contractor sitting at a table, talking and laughing with Stroebele and three others. During the meeting, Snowden signed a letter addressed to the German government in which he said "speaking the truth is not a crime." His leaks include allegations the U.S. tapped phones of world leaders including German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Following the meeting on Thursday, Stroebele returned to Germany with the letter. It's been reported the German parliament wants to talk to Snowden about the secret monitoring of Merkel's phone. But if Snowden were to visit Germany, it could endanger his asylum status back in Moscow.
