Jan. 5 - Action-movie star Steven Seagal says he might consider running for governor of Arizona. Jillian Kitchener reports.
Action-movie star Steven Seagal is making headlines once again, with reports that he may be considering a run for Arizona governor. While discussing his newly released reality series, Seagal describes a talk he had with the self-proclaimed toughest sheriff in America, Joe Arpaio. (SOUNDBITE) (English) STEVEN SEAGAL, SAYING: "Joe Arpaio and I were talking about me running for governor. I suppose I would remotely consider it, but probably I would have a lot more other responsibilities - a lot of other responsibilities that are maybe more important to address." Seagal went on to describe the country's border issue. (SOUNDBITE) (English) STEVEN SEAGAL, SAYING: "I think our biggest problem is open borders. I think Reagan once said if you don't, you know, have security on your borders, you don't have a country." Only time will tell if Seagal takes the next step in the race for governor.
