At 116 meters or 380 feet, it was the tallest building in Europe ever to demolished with controlled explosives. Constructed in 1972, the unused academic building in Frankfurt, Germany was destroyed using 950 kilograms, that's more than 2,000 pounds, of explosives. Now that's how to go out with a bang.
