ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Arizona residents cheered Governor Jan Brewer's decision to veto a controversial bill that would have allowed business owners to cite personal religious beliefs as legal grounds for refusing to serve same-sex couples or any other prospective customers. "I think it was a combination of pressure on all fronts. We had the activists out here working everyday. We had the business community pressuring Gov. Brewer. We had national and international interest attention to this issue everyday," Unidentified opponent of Senate bill 1062 saying: A number of major business organizations including Apple Inc. and some fellow Republican politicians had urged Brewer to veto the bill.
