ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz begins the 2014 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington, D.C., telling attendees, "You wanna lose elections? Stand for nothing." Cruz was the first major player to speak at the event, which is expected to be attended by a handful of 2016 presidential hopefuls. "But when you don't stand and draw a clear distinction, when you don't stand for principle, democrats celebrate," Cruz said Thursday (March 6). Rep. Paul Ryan, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and Senator Marco Rubio are also scheduled to speak this year. CPAC runs from March 6-8.
