Mar 14 - The day's top showbiz news and headlines including ''Captain America: The Winter Soldier,'' ''Rocky'' the musical, and ''Noah'' all have red carpet premieres. Bob Mezan reports.
It was a red carpet frenzy throughout the world on Thursday (March 13). First, the star-studded cast of "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" officially opened the film in Los Angeles. The hero himself, Chris Evans, posed for photos. He was joined by co-star Samuel L. Jackson, and Scarlett Johansson - who debuted her baby bump on the red carpet. "Captain America" hits theaters on April 04. In New York, Sylvester Stallone attended the Broadway premiere of "Rocky." Stallone joined the cast of the new musical, even taking to the boxing-ring shaped stage for the show's curtain call. The musical, based on the 1976 film, follows the story of an amateur boxer who is tapped to fight a heavy weight champ. And in Berlin, stars from "Noah" attended the film's European premiere. Emma Watson, Jennifer Connelly and director Darren Aronofsky were among those to hit the red carpet. The film has raised controversy even before its release - it's been banned by multiple Arab countries on religious grounds. The film opens worldwide in late March and early April.
