ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Amateur video purported to show staff at a children's hospital in Slaviansk, clearing up rubble and shattered on glass on Friday (May 30) after it was shelled by Ukrainian forces. The hospital, some 100 kilometers north of Donetsk, had holes in its walls and several shattered windows due to the purported shelling. Reuters is unable to independently verify the content of this video, which has been obtained from a social media website. Meanwhile, President-elect Petro Poroshenko, who scored an overwhelming first-round victory in a poll on May 25, swore to punish those responsible for the shooting down on Thursday (May 29) of a helicopter near Slaviansk, which killed 14 servicemen, including a general. Acting Defense Minister Mykhilo Koval, repeating charges that Russia was carrying out "special operations" in the east of Ukraine, said on Friday that Ukrainian forces would continue with military operations in border areas "until these regions begin to live normally, until there is peace".
