STORY: U.S. President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, welcomed U.S. military service members and their families to the White House on Friday (July 4) for celebrations to mark America's Independence Day. Dressed in White, the Obamas greeted a cheering crowd from a balcony overlooking the South Lawn of the White House, where a military band had been playing the songs of the armed forces. "This little party is something we've been doing every year because there's no group that we'd rather spend time with on this most American of holidays than with you," Obama told the gathering from the balcony. Obama's other July 4 festivities on Friday included a naturalization ceremony at the White House for service members and civilians.
