We love our iPads. But turns out the popular electronic device may give you a rash. According to a recent report in the medical journal Pediatrics... an 11 year old boy in California was treated for an itchy rash on his body. The culprit? His first generation iPad. It tested positive for nickel on the outside coating. Nickel rashes aren't life threatening but they can be very itchy. SOUNDBITE: DR. ALAN ARBUCKLE, PEDIATRIC DERMATOLOGIST, SAYING: "People can't sleep at night, they're miserable." Doctors say there's an easy way to avoid getting a rash. SOUNDBITE: TODD MAHR, ALLERGIST, SAYING: "The simplest thing there for most people is to put it in a case and have it be in a case, that's what most people are doing, which is why I don't think we see a lot of this yet, but it's being described now." In a statement, Apple says that allergies like the one reported in this case are extremely rare and that its products are made from the highest quality materials.
