ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) In a speech on the final day of the annual NAACP convention in Las Vegas, Vice President Joe Biden spoke out against laws he says are restricting voting rights. Biden said this year alone, there were 83 initiatives introduced in 29 states to limit access to the ballot box. "Laws like the one in Ohio and Wisconsin, which shortened the early voting period and limited the times polls would be open, cutting evening hours and eliminating most weekend early voting," Biden said.
