Former Virginia Governor Robert McDonnell arrives at federal court in Richmond for the first day of his corruption trial. McDonnell and his wife Maureen are charged with selling political favors. The couple is named in a 14-count indictment alleging they accepted $165,000 in loans and gifts from a Virginia businessman in exchange for helping his dietary supplement company. The McDonnells have denied any wrongdoing. The former governor was indicted shortly after leaving office in January.
