ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) As the new school year is about to begin, President Obama focused on college affordability in his weekly address. The President talked directly to students and parents about the importance of preparing for higher education and the initiatives he's taken to reform student loans, expand grants and college tax credits. "For too many families across the country, paying for higher education is a constant struggle... Michelle and I know the feeling, we only finished paying off our student loans 10 years ago," Obama said. Obama also called on Congress to pass a bill to let students refinance their student loans at lower interest rates.
