More than 40 soldiers, civilians and Islamist militants died in the battle that erupted after an army raid on a militant hideout. Security officials say the city has now been secured and 162 militants arrested, but shaken residents say they are anxious about the future, as the civil war in neighboring Syria increasingly spills across the border into Lebanon.
