Neither candidate won more than 50 percent of the vote, according to projections... ...So they will now face off in a December runoff. During the campaign Cassidy sought to tie Landrieu to the agenda of President Barack Obama. Landrieu campaigned on her record in the Senate, including steering large hurricane recovery funds to the solidly Republican state.
