A new video from Islamic State claims to show three French fighters asking their countrymen to join them. Reuters cannot independently verify the authenticity of the video, which was posted on social media websites. (SOUNDBITE) (French) MAN IDENTIFIED AS ABU OSAMA AL-FARANCI SAYING: "What are you waiting for? Why are you not making the journey? How do you accept to work in the land of disbelievers when Allah has opened for you to perform the best of deeds. Jihad in the path of Allah. You strengthen their economy and pay taxes which they use to fight us, and kill our sisters, our women and our children." Thousands of Western volunteers have joined Islamic State -- more than one thousand French citizens are involved in jihadi cells linked to the two countries. French authorities on Wednesday identified two of its citizens in a video released last week showing the killing of prisoners. (SOUNDBITE) (French) MAYOR OF CHAMPIGNY-SUR-MARNE, DOMINIQUE ADENOT, SAYING: "It's hugely sad, because to think that a young man could have been misled into a sort of organised crime, because when you see the Islamic State armed gangs, it's a mafia armed with heavy weapons, it's not a state, it's not an ideal, they're people who kill for everything and nothing. It's an abomination." France is part of a U.S-led coalition carrying out air strikes on Islamic State, which has captured large parts of Syria and Iraq.
