Potential Republican presidential contender, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie continues his UK tour, joining Britain's Chancellor George Osborne in a Downing Street working lunch. Nathan Frandino reports.
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and his wife Mary Pat returned to Downing Street on Tuesday. This time, to meet Britain's Chancellor George Osborne. The potential 2016 Republican presidential contender is in the UK - his state's third-largest trading partner after Canada and Mexico - to promote his state's life sciences industry... although analysts say the visit will also help burnish his foreign policy credentials going into election season. It was during a tour at a life sciences research park in Cambridge which prompted questions about the U.S. vaccination debate. Christie on Monday said that while his children received the recommended shots for measles, parents need a measure of choice. After their routine meet and greet for the press, Christie and Osborne had a working lunch at 11 Downing Street to talk trade... although politics may well have been on the menu as well.
