Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny presents U.S. President Barack Obama with a large pot of shamrocks to mark St. Patrick's Day. Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) President Barack Obama was presented with a large pot of shamrocks by Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny to mark the St. Patrick's Day holiday Tuesday (March 17). Obama joked about drinking a pint of Guinness beer in Ireland, saying "waiting for that perfect pint is money well spent." Kenny thanked Obama for his support of Ireland "north and south." The shamrock presentation ceremony came after a day of Irish-related events at the White House including a meeting with Kenny in the Oval Office. The White House also channeled the luck of the Irish by putting green dye in a fountain on the premises.
