ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Cathedrals across Britain rang their bells on Saturday to mark the 70th anniversary of VE Day. At 1100 BST (1000 GMT) St. Paul's Cathedral and Westminster Abbey rung their bells in London while Glasgow Cathedral also chimed. There were ceremonies and parades held across Europe to commemorate the 70th anniversary of victory over Nazi Germany. Queen Elizabeth, who was a young princess on VE Day in 1945, will attend a service of thanksgiving on Sunday (May 10), at Westminster Abbey.
