Hungary plans to build a four-meter-high fence to stop migrants coming in to the EU country from Serbia in the south. Rough cut (no reporter narration).
ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Early on Thursday (June 18) morning at the Serbian-Hungarian border, like on many days in the past months, migrant families make the hike from a nearby highway in Serbia to the border with Hungary. Today it is a group of Afghan refugees who have been traveling from Afghanistan for three months, often hiking for long hours carrying their babies and children, In physical reality, the border is a small ditch which is the only barrier separating the European Union from Serbia. Hungary announced plans on Wednesday (June 17) to build a four-meter-high fence along its border with Serbia to stem the flow of illegal migrants, a move that triggered a swift rebuke from the United Nations Refugee Agency.
