New images show Fidel Castro meeting with cheese-makers, just days after the U.S. said it was restoring diplomatic relations with Havana. Deborah Gembara reports.
A rare public appearance for former Cuban President Fidel Castro --- his first since the landmark announcement that the U.S. was restoring relations with Havana. In these photos released on Saturday, the Castro could be seen meeting with some of the country's expert cheesemakers. He reportedly spent four hours meeting with the group. The 88-year-old former leader has made no public remarks about the week's historic announcement -- which officially ends the 54-year cold war that has been a defining part of his life and legacy.
