ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Four rare white lion cubs were shown to the public for the first time at a safari park in the Russia-annexed Crimean peninsula. The cubs were born at the Taigan Lion Park with snow-white fur and tender blue eyes and are part. Zookeepers say they are several days old and in good health They are eating and gaining weight. The cubs are part of an endangered species and according to the zoo, there are just a few hundred white lions in the world. Crimean media reported that the zoo considered selling some of the lion cubs to other parks in Russia. The Taigan Safari Park, named after the valley it is located in, claims to be the biggest in Europe, occupying 36 hectares (89 acres) of the Crimean steppe.
