ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: The 72nd edition of the Venice film festival kicked off with a gala ceremony and the premiere of high-altitude thriller "Everest" on Wednesday. Stars of the film arrived for the opening ceremony on the Venice Lido, where the head of the international jury, "Gravity" director Alfonso Cuaron, also made reference to the current migration crisis in Europe in his opening remarks. The Venice film festival runs until Sept. 12.
