Republican Rick Perry, struggling to raise money and languishing near the bottom in presidential opinion polls, says he will drop out of the 2016 White House race. Jillian Kitchener reports.
Struggling to raise money and hovering at the bottom of presidential opinion polls, Republican Rick Perry is dropping out of the 2016 White House race. During a speech in St. Louis, Missouri, Perry told the crowd the party had a "tremendous" field of candidates. ... one that he is no longer part of. Perry was making his second bid for the White House after a failed campaign in 2012... but he was recently forced to stop paying many members of his staff, due to low campaign funds. The former Texas Governor says he has no regrets... adding it was a privilege and an honor to run.
