Exhausted migrants are pouring into Slovenia from Croatia after Zagreb says it can no longer cope with the massive influx. Vanessa Johnston reports.
Hundreds of migrants wait to enter Slovenia from Croatia. Some begin to lose patience. After suddenly finding itself in the path of Europe's largest tide of migrants for decades... Croatia said on Friday it could no longer offer them refuge. And that's after Hungary shut down the main migrant route, closing its border with Serbia. POLICEMAN TALKING TO WOMAN MIGRANT, SAYING (English): "Go on the bus, I said go on the bus." POLICEWOMAN SAYING (English): "Just two buses. Stop OK? You go in the bus." The buses will take the roughly 400 migrants -- mostly from war torn countries -- to shelters in the Slovenian town of Brezice. The massive influx of migrants and refugees this year-- more than 473,000 -- has left the European Union scrambling to respond. On Wednesday, EU leaders will try once more to come up with a plan... As a seemingly endless stream of migrants continues to flow across their borders.
